Save Your Important Lost Files With An effective Data Recovery Restore
Data recovery restore points are set up in the operating system to allow you to quickly return to a where you were at a previous time. This feature exists to give you a quick way to restore your computer to a usable state when a modification you were making does not work out as you expected. Using restore points is a valuable safety measure, and they represent the fastest way of getting your computer back to a familiar operating state. The only drawback is that data which was added after the restore point may not be saved.
There are ways around this, and ways to get this data back. As long as the data is still stored on your hard drive, even if the operating system no longer shows it, it can be retrieved. The key here is not to sabotage your own efforts by inadvertently deleting your own data when you download the recovery software. Whenever a file does not show up on the operating system menus, the system will consider the file to have been deleted. This means that any time there is more data to be stored, the original data can be overwritten.
The way to avoid this possibility is to download the recovery program to another computer, and then to transfer the program files to an external flash drive. This flash drive can then be plugged into one of the USB sockets on the main computer, and the software run from there. By avoiding downloading to the main hard drive, you will have avoided the possibility of any data being overwritten. If you do manage to retrieve your files, it is best to save them first to the flash drive, to avoid any potential conflicts on the main hard drive.
Data recovery restore operations become so much harder where there is a clear malfunction in the operating system. Where there is a problem due to partitioning or formatting, the disappearing files will be harder to locate and save. In this case, if your data is important enough to warrant it, it is much better and much safer to download comprehensive paid software which will be able to analyze the problem. Just remember to download and use it safely via a second computer and flash drive.
The only problems this software will be unable to handle, apart from ones where the data has been deleted for good, are ones which are caused by a mechanical failure. In these cases, a dedicated professional may still be able to save your data. If it is a chip which has malfunctioned, a new one can be soldered into place. If it is a motor alignment problem, it can be overcome with enough time. An image of the lost data can be created, and a CD or USB drive can be loaded with the lost files. You will probably not save the hard drive, but you should get a complete data recovery restore.
